Why is there a Circle?
Back at the end of 1980, beginning of 1990, being at the beginning of a very horrible time in my life, I went out and bought a variations magazine. There were all kinds of articles in there about controlling men. I flipped through to the back of the magazine and there was an article from a Pro Dom, a Mistress Victoria, saying she would be happy to mentor beginner Doms. I picked up the phone on a cold Friday afternoon and we talked until Saturday morning.
There began a wonderful friendship and a more wonderful sisterhood. She taught me all I know and introduced me to many other Doms. We used to all talk about the day our lifestyle would become accepted. She was the most amazing person. I wish everyone could have known her. She taught me Old Guard High Etiquette and Protocol, and also to be proud of what I was. To embrace and teach all who came to be seeking knowledge on the life.
On September 11th she went to the World Trade Center to see her broker. She just got inside the buildings when the the planes hit. In running out she broke her ankle and it just never healed. She went to a doctor and was diagnosed with advanced bone cancer.
We talked a lot while she was sick and she told me that now it was my turn to take the torch and begin what she started. Her biggest dream and desire was a circle, where Doms could come together and grow and learn from one another.
So one day, before she died, she called me and asked me to take her torch and continue what she started. I told her yes. I loved her like a sister. She gave me so much of her time, knowledge. How could I not create the Circle for her, and pass on a little of what she taught me. She always called it a Circle in our talks, so that is why I call it the Femdom Circle. Her favorite color was purple, so that is why everything is purple.
I keep the Circle alive with the help of all of you, my wonderful friends and one day, when I am no longer able, I will pass on her torch to someone else.
Rest in Peace, Mistress Victoria.
