Chat?

In the last entry I introduced you to the chat software, Blab.

Blab is the only portion of this website not built directly on, or in, Expression Engine, but it does integrate directly into Expression Engine’s user database, and this means that when you go into Chat, your username and user profile are carried over seamlessly. This isn’t something you will have to think about, or worry about, but trust me, it’s quite cool smile

Getting to Chat is as simple as hitting “Chat” on the top menu bar, and you will get to the view of the Chat Rooms available to you

Then you just click on the room you want, and hey presto, you’re chatting!

You will notice that the Mistress Room and the slaves corner are passworded. This is so that the Mistresses and slaves have their own private area for talking, unseen by the other group. The passwords are located in the forums, which are also restricted to each group - just look for the Announcements in the slaves corner or Mistress Tea Room

Then you are chatting.

There are a couple of points to note:

If you close the window that contains the chatrooms, you will leave the chat room.
You can see who is already in the chat in the memberbar, and this auto-refreshes to ensure it is up to date

There are several places to change text color and sounds, and other things - explore!

When should you chat?

I’d suggest you hop in any time! Feel free to private message other members and arrange times to chat with them! Want to setup a regular meeting? Let us know and we’ll circulate the information for you to the whole group smile

Lastly - like anything on the internet, chats are logged. Abuse of other members or nasty behaviour isn’t going to be tolerated, and if you have complaints, let me or Mistress Lisa know and we’ll look into it. We don’t go digging in the logs for no reason though.
